Kingspan

Kingspan Group was founded in the 1960s by Eugene Murtagh and is headquartered in Kingscourt, County Cavan, Ireland. Its divisions cover insulated panels, insulation, light and air (daylighting), water and energy, data and flooring, and roofing and waterproofing. In Vietnam, Kingspan broke ground in 2022 on a greenfield insulated panel plant of about 16,000 m² in the Phu My II Expansion Industrial Zone, designed to meet LEED Platinum standards and serve the Asia-Pacific market.

Insulated sandwich panels combine an external metal skin, an insulating core and an internal metal skin in one factory-made element. In pre-engineered buildings they are used for roofs and walls where thermal performance, airtightness and a clean internal finish are needed – cold stores, food processing plants, pharmaceutical facilities, data centres and conditioned warehouses. Panels span between purlins or girts and are fixed with through-fasteners or concealed fixings. Core type (for example PIR or mineral wool) determines thermal conductivity and fire performance, while skin coating and thickness determine durability and span. Joints, flashings and penetrations must be detailed to maintain the vapour seal, especially in cold storage.

En Vietnam

Kingspan Vietnam operates an insulated panel manufacturing plant in Phu My II Expansion Industrial Zone, Ba Ria – Vung Tau (groundbreaking June 2022), with offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
