Hyundai Welding Co., Ltd. is a South Korean manufacturer of welding consumables and welding machines, headquartered in Seoul. Its consumables are widely used in shipbuilding, steel structure and plant fabrication. In Vietnam, the group operates Hyundai Welding Vina Co., Ltd., a manufacturing subsidiary in Dong Nai province.

Welding consumables are selected for PEB and structural steel fabrication according to the welding process and the governing code. Submerged arc wire and flux combinations are used for the continuous web-to-flange welds of tapered built-up columns and rafters; flux-cored wires are widely used for fillet and groove welds on end plates, stiffeners and base plates; solid wires suit robotic and semi-automatic GMAW; and covered electrodes are used for tack welds, repairs and field work. The fabricator qualifies welding procedures with the selected consumables to AWS D1.1, AS/NZS 1554.1, ISO 15614 or CSA W47.1 as applicable, controls storage and baking of low-hydrogen consumables, and records consumable batch certificates as part of material traceability.
