Free On Board

The seller delivers export-cleared goods on board the vessel nominated by the buyer at the named port of shipment.

Our most frequently quoted term for buyers with their own forwarder: FOB Ho Chi Minh City (Cat Lai / Hiep Phuoc) or FOB Cai Mep–Thi Vai – break-bulk, flat racks, open-tops and standard containers.

Entrega: On board the buyer's vessel at the named port of shipment.
Transferência de risco: When the goods are on board the vessel.
Custos: The seller pays until the goods are on board, including export clearance and origin terminal handling; the buyer pays the freight.
Indicado para: Break-bulk and conventional sea freight where the buyer books the vessel.
Atenção: For containers handed over at a terminal, risk can pass before loading in practice – ICC recommends FCA; we accept both.
