World Steel supplies metal building systems and fabricated structural steel to the United States, designed to IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360 and MBMA practice, with IAS AC472 accreditation.
US projects are permitted under the International Building Code as adopted by each state, with loads to ASCE 7, steel design to AISC 360 (and AISC 341 in seismic regions), cold-formed design to AISI S100 and welding to AWS D1.1 and D1.3. Metal building systems follow MBMA practice.
World Steel was the first company in Asia accredited by IAS under AC472, the accreditation criteria for inspection programs of manufacturers of metal building systems. The IBC recognises approved fabricators for shop work, which supports building-official acceptance of our metal building packages.

What is IAS AC472 and why does it matter?
AC472 is the IAS accreditation for inspection programs of manufacturers of metal building systems. World Steel was the first company in Asia to achieve it, which supports acceptance of our metal building systems by US building officials.
Do Section 232 duties apply to fabricated steel from Vietnam?
US Section 232 measures cover steel and certain steel derivative products, and the scope and rates have changed several times. We confirm the current duty position for your HTS classification with every quotation.
