World Steel fabricates structural steel and supplies pre-engineered buildings to Australia, certified to AS/NZS 5131 Construction Category CC3.
Australian steel structures are designed to AS 4100 (and AS/NZS 4600 for cold-formed members) with actions to AS/NZS 1170 and earthquake actions to AS 1170.4, under the National Construction Code. Fabrication and erection follow AS/NZS 5131, where the designer assigns a Construction Category from CC1 to CC4; welding follows AS/NZS 1554.1.
World Steel is certified to AS/NZS 5131 CC3 and to ISO 3834-2. Material is supplied to AS/NZS 3679.1, 3678 and 1163 – from ACRS-certified mills where specified – with full traceability, and corrosion protection to AS/NZS 4680 (galvanizing) or AS/NZS 2312.1 (paint).
