Secondary Members – Purlins, Girts & Struts
Cold-formed C and Z members that support roof and wall cladding.

Cold-formed C, Z and U purlins and girts, struts and girder beams that carry the cladding and tie the frames together.
Secondary members transfer cladding loads to the primary frames and tie the frames together. Purlins and girts are cold-formed C, Z or U sections; struts and girder beams complete the system. Purlin spacing is typically 1.0–1.4 m depending on frame spacing and building loads.
