Fabrication for the plant environment

Process plants put structural steel under demanding conditions: heavy, hot and vibrating pipe loads, wind and seismic actions on tall structures, corrosive and sometimes marine atmospheres, and owner specifications that leave no room for undocumented work.

We fabricate to the project specification – the client's own standards, PIP or NORSOK practices, AISC, EN or AS/NZS – with welding procedures and welders qualified for the job, an agreed inspection and test plan, non-destructive testing to the specified extent and a manufacturing data record for every lot. Modules and pipe racks can be pre-assembled to reduce work at site.

Quality

Every weld, every heat, every coat – on record

Each project starts with an inspection and test plan agreed with you and your third-party inspector, with hold and witness points. Materials are checked against their certificates and traced by heat number; welds are made to qualified procedures by qualified welders and examined by VT, MT, PT, UT or RT to the specified extent.

Coating is applied and checked to the coating specification, and the manufacturing data record – certificates, procedures, NDT and coating reports, dimensional checks and release notes – is completed before each lot ships.

Pre-assembled process module with steel frame, floors, vessel and piping

Modularisation

More work in the factory, less at site

Remote sites, short shutdown windows and high site labour costs favour modules. We fabricate and pre-assemble pipe rack modules, process module frames and equipment skids with floors, stairs and lifting points, and design transport bracing and sea-fastening interfaces with your logistics team.

Trial assembly and dimensional control in the factory make sure modules connect at site the first time.

Protection

Coating systems for the plant environment

Process plants range from C3 to CX and splash-zone exposure. We apply paint systems and hot-dip galvanising to the coating specification – ISO 12944, NORSOK M-501 or the owner's system – with surface preparation, dry-film thickness and adhesion records for every lot. FAQ

자주 묻는 질문

Can you fabricate to our company specification?

Yes. We review your specification and its referenced standards, raise technical queries and agree any deviations before fabrication starts.

Which welding codes do you work to?

AWS D1.1, AS/NZS 1554.1 and EN 1090-2 with ISO 15614 procedures and ISO 9606 welders, under our ISO 3834-2 welding quality system – as the project specifies.

Do you allow third-party inspection?

Yes. Your inspector or a third-party agency can attend hold and witness points defined in the ITP, and EN 10204 3.2 certificates can be arranged.

Can you pre-assemble modules and pipe racks?

Yes. We fabricate and pre-assemble module frames, pipe rack modules and skids, with lifting points and transport bracing agreed with your logistics team.

Which coating systems can you apply?

Paint systems and hot-dip galvanising to ISO 12944 up to CX, NORSOK M-501 or the owner's specification, with full inspection records.
