Austdoor
Vietnamese building products group best known for roller doors, also producing aluminium systems and other doors and windows.
Austdoor was launched in 2003, when its founding company signed a technology transfer agreement with Australia's B&D Group for roller doors; the company was converted into a joint-stock group in 2009. Austdoor Group now includes several member companies and brands, among them Austdoor roller doors, Topal aluminium systems and accessories, Sunspace doors and glass partitions, and Huge wooden doors. It sells through a large network of distributors across Vietnam.
Roller doors are the most common large opening in industrial pre-engineered buildings, used at loading bays, workshops and warehouses. The door curtain coils into a drum mounted above the opening, so the framed opening, header and jambs must be designed to carry the door weight and its wind load reactions, and the drum position must be coordinated with the eave height, girts and any canopy. For coastal and cyclone-prone sites, wind-resistant roller doors with reinforced guides are specified for the design wind pressure. Motorised doors need power, controls and safety devices. In PEB supply, the steel supplier typically provides the framed opening, while the door supplier provides and installs the door, so interface dimensions should be agreed early.
