What ISO 9001 covers
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management systems. It requires an organisation to understand its context and its customers' requirements, plan its processes, control them, measure the results and improve continually – using the plan-do-check-act cycle and risk-based thinking.
For a steel fabricator this means every step from enquiry to handover is a controlled process: contract review, design and drawing control, purchasing and supplier evaluation, receiving inspection, production planning, fabrication, inspection and testing, packing, shipping, installation and after-sales service, with documented responsibilities and records.
World Steel's certificate
World Steel Construction Joint Stock Company holds certificate of registration no. 786902, issued by Guardian Independent Certification Ltd (GICG), confirming that its quality management system has been audited and found to conform to ISO 9001:2015 for: construction; design, manufacture, supply and installing of pre-engineered steel buildings and steel structures. The certificate was first issued on 6 September 2023.
ISO 9001 is the management framework on which World Steel's product and process certifications are built: IAS AC472 for metal building systems, AS/NZS 5131 CC3, EN 1090 EXC3 with CE marking and ISO 3834-2 for welding quality.
What it means for clients
Clients get predictable quality and traceable decisions: approved drawings and revisions, certified materials, inspection and test plans, non-conformance reports with corrective actions and a complete quality dossier. Customer feedback and lessons learned feed into management review and continual improvement – see quality control and inspection and our standards by market.
