Sika
Swiss specialty chemicals group for construction and industry, with factories in Dong Nai and Bac Ninh, Vietnam.
Sika was founded in 1910 in Switzerland, where it is headquartered, and develops chemical products for construction and industry. Sika Vietnam has operated since 1993 and manufactures in Dong Nai and Bac Ninh. Its local range covers concrete admixtures, grouting, anchoring, waterproofing, roof systems, joint sealing, industrial coatings, flooring and construction adhesives.
Several Sika product groups appear on pre-engineered building projects. Non-shrink cementitious grouts are placed under column base plates after levelling to give full bearing on the foundation. Adhesive anchoring products fix post-installed rods and rebar in concrete. Elastic joint sealants seal flashings, gutters, penetrations and the joints between cladding and other building elements, where they must accommodate thermal movement and remain compatible with coated steel. Waterproofing membranes and roof systems are used on gutters, concrete roofs and wet areas, and industrial floor coatings on slabs and mezzanines. Material selection follows the product data sheets and the project specification, with attention to substrate preparation and curing conditions.
