Built for loads that never stop moving

Mining structures work harder than buildings. Conveyor galleries carry moving belts, spillage and drive tensions; screen and crusher structures see millions of load cycles; transfer towers take impact and surge; everything sits in dust, water and corrosive air, often in seismic regions and far from the nearest workshop. Fabrication quality – weld category, fit-up, coating and dimensional accuracy – directly decides how long the plant runs without trouble.

World Steel fabricates structural steel for mines, concentrators, bulk-handling terminals and processing plants to the owner's engineering standards. We work with EPCM engineers or deliver design-and-fabricate packages, trial-assemble galleries and towers in our factory, and ship numbered, kitted modules with a full quality dossier to site.

Ingénierie

Fatigue and dynamics, fabricated right

Vibrating screens, crushers and conveyor drives load their supports millions of times. Fatigue performance depends on detail category and weld quality, so we fabricate critical welds to the specified category – AS/NZS 1554.1 SP, EN 1090-2 EXC3 with EN ISO 5817 level B, or AWS D1.1 – with full-penetration welds, ground profiles and the NDT the designer specifies.

Galleries are checked for deflection and camber so belts track true, and towers are dimensionally controlled so chutes and equipment fit first time.

Ingénierie

Modular delivery for remote sites

Site hours in remote mining regions are the most expensive hours of the project. We maximise factory work: galleries are fabricated in transportable modules, trial-assembled and match-marked, protected with galvanizing or C5 paint systems and kitted with all bolts and parts per module.

Modules are sized for containers, flat racks or break-bulk shipping and for the road limits to site – with packing lists and barcodes that make site logistics simple.

FAQ

Questions fréquentes

Which mining structures does World Steel fabricate?

Conveyor galleries and trestles, transfer towers, screen and crusher structures, process plant buildings with crane runways, pipe racks, platforms, stairs, ladders and handrails – from the mine to the port.

Can you fabricate to the owner's engineering standards?

Yes. Mining owners and EPCM contractors usually add their own specifications on top of national codes – weld categories, NDT, coating systems, marking and documentation. We review and work to these requirements.

Which weld category do you use for mining structures?

Whatever the design requires: AS/NZS 1554.1 SP for critical welds in Australian projects, EN 1090-2 EXC3 with EN ISO 5817 quality levels in Europe, or AWS D1.1 for AISC-based projects – with the specified NDT.

How do you ship to remote sites?

Structures are modularised to the road, rail and shipping limits, trial-assembled, protected, kitted with bolts and parts per module and shipped in containers, on flat racks or as break-bulk – with packing lists and barcodes.

Do you design for seismic regions such as Chile and Peru?

Yes – structures are fabricated to the owner's specification and the applicable seismic codes, such as NCh 2369 for industrial structures in Chile and E.030 in Peru.

Planning a mine or processing plant?

Send us the structural drawings or the scope and specification – we return a fabrication review, modularisation concept and a delivered price.
