- Welded mesh panels between rails
- Stops tools and parts passing through
- Clamped to WS stanchions and rails
- Panels to bay length
- Galvanized or powder-coated
What it is
Mesh infill turns a guardrail into a barrier that small objects cannot pass – over machinery, walkways and public routes, around mezzanine stores and on platforms where children or the public may be present. WS panels are welded mesh in a flat-bar frame, clamped between the rails and stanchions of the modular system.
Range
| Code | Panel | Use |
|---|---|---|
| WS-MH-P1 | Welded mesh 50 × 50 mm | Industrial platforms |
| WS-MH-P2 | Fine mesh 25 × 25 mm | Small parts, public areas |
| WS-MH-P3 | Perforated plate | Architectural and screened areas |
| WS-MH-P4 | Vertical bar infill | Buildings – where climbing must be prevented |
Design and compliance
Where guards in buildings are accessible to the public, building codes limit openings in the infill and may prohibit climbable horizontal elements (for example under the NCC, IBC and national rules in Europe); WS-MH-P4 vertical-bar infill is used in those cases. Panel clamps are sized for the barrier load on the infill.
Installation and selection
- Clamp the panels between stanchions after the rails are in place.
- Specify mesh type, bay lengths and finish.
Fabrication and finishing at World Steel
Every WS modular handrail component is made in the World Steel plant in Vietnam: tube and bar are cut on saws to the component schedule, stanchions are welded to base plates, brackets or socket spigots on jigs so that rail heights repeat exactly, and fittings are fabricated from heavy-wall tube and plate, drilled and tapped for their locking screws. Welding follows qualified procedures under ISO 3834-2 and the AS/NZS 5131 and EN 1090-2 systems our certifications cover.
Components are then hot-dip galvanized as single pieces – which is only possible because the system is modular – giving full internal and external zinc coverage with no site welds to repair afterwards. A safety-yellow or architectural topcoat can follow. Parts are marked with their WS code, bagged by type and packed by area for export shipping, together with the structural steel or on their own.

자주 묻는 질문
Is mesh infill climbable?
Fine mesh is hard to climb; where codes prohibit climbable elements we propose vertical-bar infill.
Can infill be added later?
Yes – the panels clamp to existing WS stanchions and rails.
