- Saddle clip: top plate + hold-down + M8 bolt
- Type M and L clips for different flanges
- Weld fixing details
- Galvanised or stainless
- Min. 4 clip sets per panel
Three ways to fix grating
- Welding – for floors that will never be removed, such as flooring around machines. Fillet weld at the first bearing bar of every corner, at least 20 mm long and 3 mm high; touch up the zinc after welding.
- Saddle clips – a top plate, a hold-down that hooks under the beam flange and an M8 bolt. Quick to install, removable and no damage to the galvanising; suitable for all gratings.
- Drilled fixing – a hole in the flange with clip plate, bolt and nut, where a hook-type clip cannot be used.
Rules for installation
- Use at least four sets of saddle clips per panel – more on long spans, vibrating floors and heavy-duty panels.
- Leave about 10 mm between panels and at walls; 15 mm or 5 mm edge gaps per detail.
- Bearing bars always span between supports; check direction before fixing.
- Use galvanised clips with galvanised grating and stainless clips with stainless grating.

Questions fréquentes
How many clips does a panel need?
At least four sets per panel, more for long spans, vibration or heavy loads.
Clips or welding?
Clips are removable and protect the zinc coating; welding is for permanent floors that will never be lifted.
