World Steel supplies pre-engineered buildings and structural steel to Guyana, where energy-driven growth is creating strong demand for industrial and commercial buildings.
Guyana's building standards are developed by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS). Steel structures for international and local investors are commonly designed to IBC / ASCE 7 and AISC 360, or to Eurocode / British practice.
Rapid growth linked to offshore oil and gas has increased demand for warehouses, workshops, shore bases, logistics facilities and commercial buildings – projects where pre-engineered steel buildings shipped as complete kits shorten the programme considerably.
There is no free trade agreement between Vietnam and Guyana; shipments arrive in Georgetown via transhipment. Our references include projects in Guyana.
