Lincoln Electric
US manufacturer of arc welding equipment, consumables and cutting systems, founded in 1895 and headquartered in Euclid, Ohio.
Lincoln Electric was founded in 1895 by John C. Lincoln and is headquartered in Euclid, Ohio, USA. The company designs and manufactures arc welding equipment, welding consumables, robotic welding systems and plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment. In Vietnam its products are sold through local partners that supply welding machines, robots, cutting machines and consumables to fabricators.
In pre-engineered building fabrication, the long continuous web-to-flange welds of built-up members are usually made by submerged arc welding on automatic beam welding lines, using a matched wire and flux combination. Flux-cored and solid wires are used for end plates, stiffeners, cleats and base plates, and covered electrodes for repair and site welding. CNC plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment is used to cut tapered web plates and connection plates. The consumable classification, welding procedure qualification and welder qualification must comply with the code required for the project, such as AWS D1.1 in the US, CSA W59 / W47.1 in Canada, AS/NZS 1554.1 in Australia and New Zealand, or ISO 3834 and EN 1090-2 in Europe.
