About Cement-based fire protection boards
Cement-based boards keep their strength in humid and semi-exposed conditions, so they suit car parks, plant rooms and building perimeters.
Board thickness for steel encasement comes from EN 13381-4, BS 476-21, ASTM E119 / UL 263 or AS 1530.4 test data for the section factor and rating.
Joints, fixings and corner details are part of the tested system.
