Steel structures for the Netherlands

World Steel fabricates structural steel for the Netherlands to EN 1090-2 (certified up to EXC3), designed to Eurocodes with the Dutch National Annex.

Dutch steel structures are designed to the Eurocodes (NEN-EN 1990, 1991, 1993) with the Dutch National Annex and must meet the building regulations of the Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving (Bbl). Fabricated structural components are CE-marked under EN 1090-1 and executed to EN 1090-2 in the execution class set by the designer.

World Steel is certified to EN 1090-2 up to EXC3 and to EN ISO 3834-2, with welders and procedures qualified to EN ISO 9606-1 and EN ISO 15614-1, materials supplied with EN 10204 3.1 certificates and corrosion protection to EN ISO 12944 or EN ISO 1461.

Vietnam and the EU trade under the EVFTA; Rotterdam, Europe's largest port, is the natural gateway for steel packages to the Netherlands and the wider European market.

What projects in the Netherlands require

  • CE marking of structural components under EN 1090-1 – confirm execution class and CE route at tender.
  • Corrosivity category per EN ISO 12944 (often C3–C5 near the coast and ports).
