Overview
About Facaderock
Facaderock is an ideal insulation material for new build, extension and retrofit projects as well as for rendered insulation system in non-transparent curtain wall structure with 10kpa tensile strength. It is an ideal combination of good thermal performance, fire resistance, acoustics, durability and sustainability. FacadeRock for ETICS application has good dimensional stability, strong resistance to shrinkage at temperature encountered in fire conditions, excellent air permeability, no corrosion to metal and components within the structure, and no foaming agent and fire retardant needed during production process, contribute to sustainability of the environment.
Key benefits
- Prevents heat loss by reducing thermal bridging.
- Low cost solution to upgrading existing properties.
- Installation without inhabitants having to move out.

How we use Facaderock in steel buildings
In World Steel buildings ROCKWOOL Facaderock insulates façades, curtain walls, partitions and party walls – adding fire safety and acoustic comfort to offices, hotels, schools and mixed-use steel frames. We coordinate thickness and fixings with the cladding and wall framing and deliver it with the steel package.
- 01Specified with the structure – thickness, density and facing matched to the roof, wall and fire design.
- 02Quantities taken from the same 3D model as the steel, purlins and cladding.
- 03Packed and shipped with the steel package – one delivery schedule to site.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Where is ROCKWOOL Facaderock used?
In the wall applications listed on this page – the data sheet gives the thicknesses, densities and installation details.
Does stone wool help with acoustic insulation in walls?
Yes. Stone wool absorbs sound in cavities and partitions; the acoustic result depends on the complete wall system.
