Overview

About Gypsum-based sprayed fireproofing

Gypsum-based SFRMs are sprayed onto clean steel and decks; thickness and density are set by the listed design or tested data for each member and rating.

They are for dry interior conditions – humidity, weather and impact need cementitious or high-density products.

Thickness and density are checked in place to ASTM E605 and bond to ASTM E736.

Key benefits

  • Light weight on the structure
  • Fast application on large areas
  • Covers complex connections
