Glass fibres keep the gypsum core together as its water of crystallisation turns to steam.
Ratings belong to tested wall, ceiling or encasement systems.
Combined with stone wool for higher ratings and acoustic performance.

How we use Fire-rated gypsum board (Type X / F) in steel buildings
