Overview

About Firestop mortars

Mortars seal large openings with mixed services and can be loaded on floors; the tested system defines opening size, service types and mortar depth.

Penetration seals are tested to EN 1366-3 (classified under EN 13501-2), ASTM E814 / UL 1479 (F and T ratings) or AS 1530.4.

Plastic pipes usually need collars or wraps in addition to the mortar.
