Overview
About Fire-rated glazed partitions
Glazed partitions are tested as non-loadbearing walls (EN 1364-1) and classified under EN 13501-2; the maximum pane size, frame and fixing details come from the tested system.
Where insulation (EI) is required the glass is a multi-layer intumescent interlayer type; integrity-only (E) glass is used where codes allow.
Integration with fire-rated glass doors keeps one appearance along the whole separation.
