All commercial closers are non-handed and mount regular arm, top jamb or parallel arm from one box, with independent sweep and latch speed valves and adjustable hydraulic backcheck that cushions the door if it is thrown open.
Why closers matter
A closed door stops fire and smoke, keeps conditioned air in and keeps security doors latched. Every fire door needs a self-closing device; on accessible routes the opening force and closing speed must also meet the code.
