How World Steel delivers CFR

We book ocean freight with our forwarding partners to your port – flat rack, open-top, break-bulk or standard containers – and send shipping documents for your bank or your forwarder.

Delivery
On board the vessel at the port of shipment.
Risk passes
When the goods are on board at the port of shipment – the buyer bears the risk during the sea voyage.
Costs
The seller pays freight to the named destination port; destination charges are the buyer's unless included in the freight contract.
Best for
Buyers who want a delivered-port price but arrange their own insurance.
Watch out
Risk passes at the port of shipment even though the seller pays freight – insure the voyage.

Always state the rule, a precise named place and the version, e.g. “CFR your port / site, Incoterms® 2020”.

Incoterms® is a registered trademark of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). This page summarises the Incoterms® 2020 rules for orientation only – the ICC text and the sales contract govern. Always state the rule, the named place and “Incoterms® 2020”.
