DPU
Delivered at Place Unloaded
As DAP, but the seller also unloads at the named place.
How World Steel delivers DPU
Delivered and unloaded at a named terminal or site, by arrangement – useful where our team supervises erection.
- Delivery
- Unloaded at the named place of destination.
- Risk passes
- When the goods are unloaded at the named place.
- Costs
- The seller pays transport and unloading; the buyer clears import and pays duties.
- Best for
- Sites where the seller is better placed to unload heavy or long members.
- Watch out
- The seller must be able to unload at the named place – check cranes and access.
- New in 2020
- 2020: DPU replaces DAT and can be any place, not only a terminal.
Always state the rule, a precise named place and the version, e.g. “DPU your port / site, Incoterms® 2020”.
