What it is

General-purpose metric hexagon bolts carry secondary members, equipment, handrails, grating clips and non-preloaded connections. The property class stamped on the head – 4.6, 8.8, 10.9 – gives the tensile strength (first number × 100 MPa) and the yield ratio (second number ÷ 10).

Equivalents

ISO 4014 / 4017 correspond to the withdrawn DIN 931 / 933, to EN ISO 4014 / 4017, JIS B 1180, GB/T 5782 / 5783 and TCVN 1916 in Vietnam. Head across-flats differ slightly between ISO and DIN for M10, M12, M14 and M22.
