What it is

When a new slab, wall or column has to connect to existing concrete, reinforcement is bonded into drilled holes with an approved mortar. Designed as a rebar anchorage or lap, the post-installed bar behaves like a cast-in bar – provided the mortar is approved for rebar and the holes are drilled and cleaned correctly.

Typical uses

  • Extending slabs, walls and foundations
  • Adding columns, stairs and lift cores
  • Strengthening and seismic retrofit
  • Replacing bars missed during the pour
